RFID Processing

Unlike conventional barcodes RFID tags provide the ability to acquire large amounts of information without having the label in direct line of sight.  These new tags can also survive extreme environmental conditions that would otherwise destroy a barcode.  And finally the RFID interrogator can scan multiple tags (an entire pallet) in one pass.

RFID can be implemented with a simple low-cost workstation or fully integrated with your existing systems.  We would be happy to meet with your team to explain this technology and help you assess your options.

RFID tags provide an excellent means of tracking product container as they pass through various manufacturing and distribution processes.  When applied to shipping containers (cartons or skids) an RFID label facilitates tracking, receiving, and put-away once received at your customers facility.

RFID is one method of complying with COOL requirements.  As a result of DOD and Walmart efforts to move this exciting technology forward many other organizations are following suit and looking for opportunities to integrate RFID with their existing processes.

Being driven primarily for its merits at retail this new technology offers cost saving opportunities throughout the supply chain.  Being no bigger than your thumbnail the reusable RFID tag functions as an excellent tracking license plate.

RFID Hardware

To implement RFID three pieces of hardware are required.

  -  Label Printer

  -  Interrogator

  -  RFID Labels

With the SeaTrak RFID Workstation you can be printing RFID labels.  A standard interface provides quick host system integration.
